Impressive!

A very laid back and interesting melody. Those guitar synths played such a mellow, great loop. I swear I could listen to just that for hours.

Of course you didn't just leave it at that though, the gradual progression of the song was brilliant. I loved how it evolved from it's core, constantly expanding, yet remaining familiar.

Nice use of delay and reverb.

After the momentary break down though, when the songs JUMPS UP in it's FUURAAAAY! Thats when it really started to speak to me. Honestly, a really powerful, awesome segment.

I am quite impressed by the diversity of the song, you have a very large selection of sounds going off and on here.

Easily a 5/5 from me Nostrap, i'd like to invite you to check out my work sometime! Keep up the good fight!

Nostrap responds:

thanks for the excellent review. ill check out your stuff for sure.

So smooth...

hmmm... so peaceful... so...

so... dangerous to listen to while you're supposed to be alert so that you can send your assignment to the teacher...

so hard to care right now =_=...

thank you, you've single handedly screwed my ability to stay alert.

This song is ambient in it's full glory, so damn awesome. It's just the perfect chilling track. Nothing else to say about it. Keep up the good fight SBB. I'm going to resist falling unconcious now.

I'd have to agree the main melody didn't seem to move around, but DAMN it was slick, catchy, and very impressive. I find that you have a very powerful knack to present catchy, simple, yet powerful melodies. It is an admirable talent thats for sure.

I loved the whole orchestration, every instrument added to the mix, gave it more power, more focus.

I hate not having anything to say or criticize, but again, I wanted to let you know, that this track I appreciated also. Keep up the good fight Kimken!

Yay :D!!!!

This really was one of the best metal tracks i've heard. I had no idea you had THIS KIND OF ROCK POWER!!!!

It's so video gaming, yet so hardcore.

It's been way too long since I came to your page, just... :')

I have no words of criticism KimKen, but I wanted to drop my support. Keep em coming man! You're just getting better everay day! Easily a 5/5 from me.

:D

That harpischord melody reminds me of Final Fantasy 8's Libus... something or other. The theme they had for that parade with teh evil sorcerress.

In any case, the beat itself is pretty damn solid, the brass stabs really did add quite a few layers of yes!

Of yes I say!

The percussional work was pretty solid too, it didn't alternate much, but for what was there, it was well done.

I don't have much else to say Zajed, it was a great track, well enjoyed ;). Keep up the good fight, and keep them coming!

Zajed responds:

omfg late response i totally forgot

ok i must say i copied the james bond theme lol

the stabs were realy hard work, so were the drums too

thanks for such a good review
again sorry for the late response

thanks i say

This has an incredible melody, it is INCREDIBLY catchy, and has my head bobbin throughout!

My only problem is the equalizing. It was... well... quite lacking. Everything was way too loud in my opinion. I know the song is damn awesome at big volume levels, but there was a great deal of "mushing" because of this.

There wasn't much diversity to the piece, same melody again and again, with some changes in synth.

Still though, it was a very well crafted piece, incredibly catchy. Keep up the good fight! keep em coming! I'd like to invite you to check out some of my work sometime.

Impressive!

This is one of the best piano/organ/harpischord pieces I have ever heard. Truly it's packing quite a wallop in terms of feeling and imagery.

Sanctuary eh? Such an evil sanctuary... I loves it >:}.

I'm sorry afliXion, I don't even know how to critique this, in my eyes this is perfect, I truly loved listening to it, easily a 5/5 from me. Keep up the good fight, and keep them coming!

afliXion responds:

Wow.
I like that you picked up on the feeling and imagery, that was what I was going for over counterpoint and harmony.
I wouldn't say it was an 'evil' sanctuary, more like an old gothic one with stained glass and organ music.
Perfect! Thats awesome. Thanks for the review.

Impressive!

The beginning sounded empty, the piano medley was a bit too simple. Perhaps some lower whole notes to emphasise the higher ones. I realize that having only high notes alone gives off a great "alone" feel, to better achieve this feeling I would highly recommend putting a nice amount of reverb on that piano. It will sound like it's played in a giant cathedral or large building, makes it sound more lonesome.

I also thought you should have had it stop playing much sooner then it did at the beginning, it seemed to kind of clash with the other instruments, which were perfect in their ends.

I love the choice of instruments, very diverse, very interesting. I loved them.

When the piano came back, it did so quite well. I don't quite like the abrupt change to the piano and instruments, it kind of put in some anger vibes, and I didn't quite imagine that emotion for this piece.

Regardless though, it's an excellent piece Eviance. You've done a good job here, I applaud your efforts. Keep up the good fight, and keep them coming!

Impressive

A neat battle theme that for sure, there is plenty of subtle energy in it, I felt the piece had potential to BLOW UP at any minute. You know, really blare out them horns, some frantic high notes with the strings.

I didn't get the blow up I was looking for, but honestly the piece itself holds plenty of story potential in of itself. I would have liked you to try a few more things with the brass, they didn't seem to move around that much, they held the song together, but more could have been done with them.

The flutes served the purpose well, it gave the feeling of fleet movement. The battle is one that requires great cunning and stealth.

I liked the percussional works here, made it sound medieval and tribal, and those are my favorite types of battles. The kind where real warriors would clash, and rip each other apart!

In any case the work itself is quite well done, I applaud your efforts, I hear quite a good deal of potential in you.

Keep them coming, and keep up the good fight! I'd like to invite you to check out some of my work sometime, I am a personal fan of battle music myself :D.

Ludzix responds:

Whoa, great review =D

Thx for your support ^^

This has a very very amazing amount of energy in it, though I think this song is MUCH more better suited in the dance genre, as thats kind of what it makes me want to do.

I'm not actually GOING to dance, but the intention is there :D.

The glitched up voice served a rather interesting purpose, almost hypnotic in nature.

I didn't quite like how the song didn't move around too much. I mean I love the amount of energy you present in the piece, but it's just repeating kind of with a few added things on top, so that makes me think it's a kind of energetic trance piece.

In any case, everything was audible, so kudo's on your mastering/equalizing, well done.

The ending was too abrupt, I thought it would have faded out, kinda cut off.

In any case, excellent work! Keep em coming and keep up the good fight!

DjEagle responds:

yea i needed to be more diverse lol, i was being lazy today haha but thx 4 ya review man
