sorry, Jeff Buckley*
holy shit! so shes the girl who sang in comin home?! wow!
Faggots coudln't get on a stage and perform to save their own grandmother's life. I've never had to perform with anything louder than a baby crying (in which case the parent would promptly either quieten the child or take them away. I had it easy.
Congrats to the lady! It was very well done. I think I've got the sheet music for that song lying around somewhere.
Does LadyArsenic do this sort of thing often? I'm thinking about getting back into solo composition and performance so I could do things like this, maybe a little gig in a pub or restaraunt here and there, it's something I've wanted to do for a while now, although I'm not sure how I'd go getting a performance for classical piano solos on my keyboard, it might be time for me to bring out the acoustic guitar again and warm up the vocal cords.
at 0:58 and 1:22 i thought; wtf?! who's screaming?!, hearing it now, i think its not great.... its untellable =D
great performance and song (and yes, the voice too :D)
did she do THIS blindfolded?! O_O (tells how awesome she is =D)
make more song with her, she's good
keep up the good work
Blindfolded was ballsy. And I'm glad you told them off.
You should sing while juggling knives, that way when people think they're gutsy to call out from the middle of a crowd, you can "slip".
Hey Maestro, long time no hearings from me....Keep up the good job. Love the music composed in the Dark Cut 3 and beyond. Which makes me ponder, if you want some jobs to do (Or to fill in your time) maybe you could help this great team of modders in Fall From Heaven 2 mod for Civ 4....I think the theme of your songs fitted totally to the game itself, (despair, dark fantasy, lost hope, courage, etc)
So, please, if you have some time, check up to their forum back in Civfanatics and find the mod leader Kael. TQ.
P/S: I bet Lady Arsenic voices will add more intensity to the game itself....I just hope I don't cry listening to her ethereal voice, hahahha
P/S2: Just make it as formal as you can....after all, I'm not registered there, only as a visitor, but I think you can lend them a helping hand...
Congrats again to her, TQ.
Musicians usually have to deal with crap like that every now and then depending on the place. Much respect for Lady being able to handle that as smooth as she did.
Embarrassing audience. It's MORE than clear that it was in a school (the level of immaturity was at its highest).
1st place in rudeness was probably after 1:42 (the teacher should've silently kicked the rude students out of the auditorium, NOT say "alright guys, shut up". How stupid was that.)
2nd place after 0:57 is well deserved (I'd smack 'em on the face)
3rd place is for the general tea-party talking throughout the entire exibition. wtf. They probably wanted to go to recess and play "tag-you're-it" (bunch of middle-schoolers)
I'm glad LadyArsenic managed to continue. Apart from showing skill she also got some experience on what might happen (at much lower levels) with other audiences.
MaestroRage, if you know LadyArsenic tell her that she was superb on stage and that many of us (especially me) would have never managed to maintain focus with so many distractions.
Cheers
Oh SFaPiL... ;D MaestroRage knows me a LOT better than you'd think. <3
But anyway, I was actually the one who told them to shut up. That's what he meant in the description by the fact that I got some support. I managed to sing and play blindfolded while telling an immature crowd to shut their noisetubes. THAT... takes skill. D= Especially for a severe ADD child like myself.
Anyway, thank you very much. It was very hard, but I did tough it out as well as I could. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with such a horrible audience though. Try being a small 17-year-old girl performing at an old Mexican bar where everyone's a drunk overaged fat hillbilly. Not fun. NOT FUN...
Thanks again though, I appreciate your support whole-heartedly! ^_^
With love,
Mandi (LadyArsenic) <3

Jeez! No kidding on the obnoxious losers in the audience. But I'm glad to see that LadyArsenic never lost her composure; she sung and played wonderfully.
Also, great to hear that you're indulging in music, I don't suppose you have any music recommendation off the top of your head? :-) I too am looking for extra material.
