Newgrounds. Please feel free to use any audio I made.

Hello everyone.

Long time, no chat. The vast majority of people who are reading this probably have no clue who I am, and that's perfectly okay. But for the few that care, or for future creators that care. I want to make something very clear.

Please do not feel you have to ask me permission to use anything I uploaded on my account. While the license under which they are published are clear enough I feel, there are still some respectable people who want to reach out and get my permission first.

Let me be clear. You, who are still creating, have my permission in full, to use my material however you see fit, in whatever you see fit. Scat pr0n? A movie about a homicidal caterpillar? Gram gram's birthday party? Doesn't matter. So long as you're not out here trying to scam people or detract from the world, you have my blessing.

(edit: This includes commercial purposes, just send me a link so I can see the end product and credit me so maybe another creator can also take advantage of these works)

Please do not feel like you cannot if I don't get back to you.

Newgrounds is a place so dear and important to me. And yet I rarely log in. To write about how much this site has shaped my life would be a monumental saga that nobody would care to read anyway. All you have to know is that this site, DEFINED me. My account is a frozen chapter, a snapshot of time when music meant everything to me. But I became a statistic. I couldn't make it. So I shifted to something else like so many others before, and after, me.

I will always support this site, and the creative energy that lives here.

If my tracks from eons ago can give somebody just one tiny spark. Inspires even just one minute of creation. It would bring this tired composer immense joy. So please. Take it. It's yours.

In case I do not post again. I love you all.

Does this include any commercial purposes as long as you are given clear credit?

Yes.

hew yea

HE LIVES! No seriously I didn't think I'd ever see you post again, it's great to hear from you even though I understand you've kind of retired now. I definitely miss you/SoS as an iconic creative force, but I hear what you're saying. I just hope you are well these days.

Hell yeah.

Just chiming in to add that you're able to put all of your audio under a Creative Commons license in your Projects menu:
https://www.newgrounds.com/projects/audio/options

That would make it clear people can use it freely, only adding that they're required to credit you.

Hey, that's actually absolutely amazing and will help a lot. I have updated the license to reflect that, and have also given whatever freedoms allowed on that backend. Cheers bud.

@MaestroRage Thank you, I want to say that unlike many composers on newgrounds that have disappeared from the face of the earth I could at least get your confirmation. Thank you for your contribution to Newgrounds and music in general!

And in case I haven't said it enough, thanks for doing this! Didn't wanna come off as arrogant earlier :)

Wholesome update. I hope u are well

Bit of a shame it doesn't seem likely you'll be sharing any more of your art here, but I wanted to thank you for all that you have. Your music helped get me through some seriously rough spots in my life and I still have it in the small hoard of music on my 'NG' playlist.

well well well, look who's still lurking around. D:

I found you today for the first time after playing Castle crashers and reading this brought a tear to my eye, I hope you are doing well now

Would be cool if you put your stuff on Spotify.
