It was pretty funny until that really scary synth came in getting louder and louder. At first I laughed at the image, but then it started getting serious for me. Like his claws digging through his face into his eye faster and faster, ripping his face more and more.

Lol you couldn't have explained my goal in this song any better, that in fact is exactly how I wanted people to view it in their minds. This song turned out a little better than expected, it was more just an experiment to find what electronic sounds are comfortable with, and what they don't like:p(which I found that they just about all can sound pretty smooth together, even with a blaring evil king koopa sound included)

An interesting mix of sounds. I didn't really expect to hear such raw powerful saws for a valentines piece, but I guess passion can be such yes?
In any case I really liked the ending with those bell reverbed sounds fading out, really set the appropriate mood and left softly.
Your transitions in works are getting better, I couldn't find major transition issues with this piece, and the minor things arn't really that important, just personal preference on my end, by the standard the transitions are flawless.
That guitar was an interesting effect. This was where I was a little surprised. Didn't expect to hear it for Valentines ;).

lol yeah I try to mix it up a bit:p I guess I really don't think about what instrument I use, actually half the time I don't even read what it is I just kinda try to do it all by ear if ya know what I mean.I did take in what you said about my transitions before and I have been trying and experimenting to try to find how to make better and smoother ones. You have some excellent excellent recording set up, I must say it's one of the most crisp recordings i've ever heard. I can make out the vocals, the guitars and everything.
The voice sounds so omninous. So foreboding if you will, and it sets the mood perfectly.
Is this a band effort?! The drums sound so damn real too? And there seems to be more then one guitar?
The song doesn't let up, and this is essential. The very brief period where it simmered down, I didn't expect it, but I did appreciate it. Good stuff!
This is the first 10 i've ever given a metal song in clarity.

You've made some serious progress with your style, it's beginning to shine out more, in a more controlled and focused manner. Thats good to know.
The wavy background was rather interesting as stated before, the melody work was also quite intriguing.
The ending was a tad abrupt, but the song does loop rather well.

The thing I'm really proud of is the glitchy drums part--I just love it, and I think I'll find some way to work it into every song I make from now on! Or maybe not...gotta have diversity.
And about the ending...I think I set the song to "leave remainder" when I exported it...darn it! It would've looped perfectly otherwise!

Impressive
This was a pretty intense piece Solus. It kept changing its core like 3 times, and that was in itself a treat! It's like a core sandwich, and thats funny because you like to give burger awards, get the irony? DO YOU!?
Alright anyways, back to the song.
I really liked how you added to the core as it went, giving us it's full potential before moving onto another one. How you have so much and yet make it all still decently audible is beyond me. Awesome work.
There is a huge amount of variety in this piece, so total marks there.

The thing is, this took much less time than Technotronic Soul, and it sounds better!
Though I don't think it's quite done, because I still think it could be better. But hey, I likes it now, and I figured, "What the hell, let's see how it does."
Most of the core changing is same melody, tweaked (that in itself took fully six hours for three melodies) and overly-filtered and overdone instruments. But they turned out well.
Also, that glitchiness was a BITCH to make. Just putting that out there. A total BITCH.

it's true there isn't too much to this piece, but despite it being done over and over, I enjoy it equally as much every time I hear it. Sometimes simplicity is key, and for a song like this I think now is one of those times. I personally would not like to have heard it differently.
That bass works VERY well in my opinion, compliments the piano well.
The song loops perfectly.
I would have just liked for it to be longer ;). It's still pretty good, could use more, but for what it is, it's good.

well being called a fucker I felt implied to review the piece!
It's DAMN hardcore, and thats the way uh-huh uh-huh I like it! The vocals are perfectly brutal, I couldn't understand a word of it, but it sounds like it should, a deranged murderer who randomly walked on stage and started spilling the beans on the apocalypse. Yes many bands were built off this feeling and personalities.
I could be wrong.
Back to the song.
The guitars are pristine, they really drive the power home and that recording studio really helped with the quality, which was key for this song in my opinion.
The percussional aspect was well carried out, well played indeed.
Man, i'd love to see you guys play live!
Anyways, great stuff as usual, you guys should just get signed and become millionaires already. 5/5 no problem from me. Keep up the good work!

Anyway, to answer some of your questions, I know a lot of bands that started out just like you said (One of them being me) and are now happily signed.
You may be surprised, but this was not a 'Studio Recording'. It was actually recorded in my friend Eric's basement. But thanks for the nice comment.
If you do really want to come and see us live, you would have to come out to Australia. Hope you have no trouble booking a flight...
And to answer your final question... Yes, we are signed. But we're not on a Major label yet, we're still on an Indie label for the moment.

a very ambient song, I really enjoyed it. The constant piano riffs performed well and I think despite it being somewhat basic, it speaks for itself.
And to have the song used the same day it came out!? Thats awesome I tell you. It's a new entry at the time I saw this, so hopefully it'll still be there, better go 5 that as well when i'm done here.
I would have liked to hear the piano play something on a higher octave, maybe even just the same riffs, it would have in my opinion gave it a more depth, more expression, though if you'd want to do something like that with an ambient piece is well up to you ;).

I don't think i've ever heard panning sounds at this degree that worked this well. Normally i'd tell you to go jump off something high for making things jump around this much, but this time really it worked. It was like a massage to my ears with audio, and the poor lil buggers get busted up evary day so they deserved it!
The synth mixup was pretty damn good, the instruments all worked well together, the beat pushing, and I can see why you said it still has a dancey feel to it, it does in fact have this dance NOW like quality.
The high bell like synths were what drove the ice cave feel, so having gotten the image across effectively, I say well done!
