I love love love the strings you bring in from the first second. What was that effect called? You use it straight from the very beginning. Ah it's killing me, I used to know it. Ducking? Not really ducking, it's like a volume automation?

I don't know man but it immediately grabs my attention and doesn't let me go. Has me vibing instantly.

The progressive way of layering synths is solid.

It's not my wheelhouse, I don't have much constructive feedback for you. It's a crazy catchy track and it's mixed well. It tends to get a bit repetitive with bringing back the original segment at 2:00. I'd have loved to hear a bit more evolution of the soundscape there.

Personal favorite part starts at 2:42. It has a tinge of awe, a bit of a grand feeling. Some epic elements and since that's what I'm all about that's the part that resonated most with me.

nk87 responds:

Yeahhh my music does tend to get a bit too repetitive sometimes, sorry about thatt...
but I'm really glad you liked the track :D

also yeah, volume automation lol

your description somehow perfectly married the humerous nature of this song. It had me laughing, it had me bopping. I vibed all the way to the bank and we bopped all together.

Full track wen?

SAGEGREEN86s responds:

Thanks Hah, that means a lot. Glad the description hit right—it was meant to lean into the playful chaos of the track, like a soundtrack for slipping on a banana peel in slow motion. Once SAGEGREEN hits 100 monthly listeners on Spotify, the full version will be out. We’re almost there.

Reading your description, I can hear the creative energy driving this track. It's interesting you mention discovering sound design potential in the samples you recorded in your room. A long time ago while I was reading interviews from various products/composers, one of them said something that stuck with me.

I don't recall the exact wording, but the sentiment was that he had friends who were not nearly as strong in creative production, but they were amazing sound designers. And that skill set lent them the power to make things that were far beyond his own reach, and the tracks all sounded perfect.

Developing sound design skills will reward your ability to shape sound as a whole, and when you produce your art you are more able to express it how you want.

The track itself is a beautiful mix of ideas and expression.

OVERSCORE responds:

Thank you, I really hope to push my sound design techniques as far as I can in the next few years. You make a very good point; hopefully when I have FL Studio and some VST support, I will be able to improve my sound design more quickly. Then once I’m at the best level of quality I can achieve, I’ll be able to express these ideas in any way I want to musically.
Thanks for the thoughtful tip and encouraging review, MaestroRage!

I love it. My neighbors who were forced to listen to it through my speakers probably love it also.

Wish I could offer some kind of insight or advice, but it's not my wheelhouse. All I know is it's solid and I danced to it for like half an hour.

I need a 60 minute version to play in the background during my day. This is some of the most chill beat I've heard in a good long while. Very clean.

It warms my heart to see mention of Dimrain47. He is an amazing artist. I haven't heard his work in a while, but I remember his work well. The track is a wonderful homage to a GOAT. You killed it.

ayyyy that meditative tag is oddly very appropriate. I'm vibing, I'm bopping my head, but I'm in like, a meditative state. Really clean. No notes, solid.

PlinkoPlonko responds:

Tanks! :)

FL7!!! That deserves a second round of applause. After the first round for the track itself of course. I'm dating myself here, I remember when it was just called Fruity Loops and you had a numpad that went up to 9 and that's how many layers you could have. Maybe I was using FL3 then? Can't remember. Long time ago.

Compared to back then it really was just a toy. So to see you create this using that. Amazing.

ImmyShack responds:

Yo!!! An review from an OG!! Yeah they had that numpad available as a skin in the later versions, but It didn't limit you to 9 patterns.
Thanks for the review. You deserved that FP!

ayyyyyyy that's pretty dope.

OPFX responds:

Thanks for listening!

I haven't heard a DJ-Nate banger in far too long. Love seeing you still dropping these hot tracks! My apologies to the neighbors three streets down, hope they're enjoying the music. Bass goes brrrrrr!

I consider this account an important chapter in my life
