Impressive

Damn fine, I really liked the feel for this piece. I am sorry I didn't have the time to check out the first version of the submission, so i'll write my review to this as if it were a different song entirely.

I really liked the flow for your song, the percussional aspects were damn fine, they flowed just as well as the song.

Your bass was bordering on overpowering, thats my one concern. I like the volume you have them at now, they really give some neat power, but if you had made them any louder, they would have overpowered everything else!

The song ends a tad too abruptly.

I use congo drums in my song too! I love the congo drums, I would like you to check my song out, as I worked a lot on those damn congo drums (I love them, but so hard to work with).

Overall, a damn fine piece, I really enjoyed it, keep them coming!

Not bad

it does have a pretty stealthy feel to it, but I didn't think the claps helped at all. I feel that you should have removed those entirely.

Try adding reverb, preset 4 (cathedral) to the hi hats, I promise, the effect will be neat.

Also, try some nice, long extended notes, to make it more stealthy sounding.

pretty strange, I liked the flow, but I think you're playing off key, and because i'm a instrumental artist I take that seriously. But screw that, none of those rules apply for said songs.

Yeah, it was pretty strange though man, it shows that you were bored, not much here, random loops, a pad here and there maybe.

Not bad, I didn't quite like the percussionals in the song either, they just seemed a tad... rushed?

Overall a good song, but not something that i'd listen to more then once, sorry man, just my honest opinion :). Keep them coming though, you're other pieces are pretty good.

Too be honest DrZonka, I have never heard this hymn before, and frankly I am glad, because I can give you an honest review, without being biased in any one direction.

So lets take it to the bank yes?

First off, it's quite a diverse piece, definately, going from one batch of instruments to another, pretty well, so I will give you kudo's on being able to shift melodic and tonal qualities so well.

I wonder, if you had sped this song up a bit, if it would have been a bit more energetic, and driving. Especially that organ part. I could be wrong, just ideas.

Bells my good sir, why were there no bells?! When I hear organ, AND choir, if I don't hear bells I get agitated. The three belong together in one happy family.

On another note, I felt the choir was a tad too quiet.

The oboe opening was quite interesting, definately not an instrument I would normally consider using to usher in an organ, but it DID work in it's own way so nothing bad to say about that.

I'm glad you didn't use snares or kicks in this piece, timpini worked just fine. I wonder though, if maybe a triangle at keypoints... I think it would have made quite an interesting sound, but again it might jeapordize the song's feel.

Chords DrZonka, I am not hearing chords, I am hearing that string melody in the background, but if those strings were playing distinguishable chords, I think that the song would become much more powerful as it would feel more "full"

Thats all I have to say about this piece DrZonka, I would like you to listen to my song, I use a good amount of chords in that piece, if you listen to the background sounds, you will hear them, their role is not great, but they serve greatly to make the song more full and provides a great foundation for the song as well as enhance the melody I created them for.

Damn fine...

So chillaxing. After a long day of making uber depressing, or just too angry tunes, I think I have finally found a song to soothe my frazzled nerves.

This must be the first chill out track that actually worked for me. Even now, i'm so damn calm just typing is a huge hassle, why type, when I can SEND you my thoughts!? *humms violently while trying to project thoughts*.

I hope you didn't get that thought... filled with secrets... >_>

Anyways, the abundent amount of soundeffects really works out pretty fine, I wonder how many you used. I'm sure well over 20, I just can't count them.

Awesome stuff man. I don't think this track needs vocals at all, I love it the way it is. 5/5 from me.

Impressive

At the beginning where you introduce that cello? string way low octave, that really gave it a darker feel, I wasn't thinking charmer, I was thinking, Succubus murderer X_x.

Still I liked the plucking instruments, to be honest, it sounded a tad random, but when I pay enough close attention to it, it does have a structure, but it is easily missed, I would advise looking over your melodic feel. It works, but I felt this time it was bordering on chaos.

Maybe you wanted that.

Good percussional works, I think I heard bongo drums somewhere back there, you should definately make those louder!

The plucked strings? Are you thinking of the Koto/Honkytonk? More bongos. Yes, I think you might be right. And chaos was sort of what I was going for. :) I love complex rythms. Maybe they're a bit too advanced in this piece, to the point that it's defficult to make out.

Hmm, my first thought, is you need better samples. What program are you using? I would like to offer my assistance in helping you get some better sounds. I feel with some better strings samples, this would have invoked the image you wanted.

I'm not saying I didn't get it, but it was distorted, and hard to picture, not because of the song, but because of the samples.

The song didn't change in direction too much, as it seemed to be the same thing again and again, but it makes for a good loop.

I would have liked to hear a flute in this piece, I think that would have said "open fields" a tad better.

Oh well, good stuff, keep them coming!

Hmm, a sweet melody, that flows gently into my mind. Except that part where you play that lower octave, that part was a tad oppresive in my opinion, as if this special place is a tad depressed.

The beginning as stated flowed very warmly, I could totally see a child sitting under a tree looking out into a great large glistening ocean, the soft winds and crashing waves weaving itself around this child's ears, dancing with his imagination.

Great theme.

I didn't quite like that last half with the oppresive octaves, but that is personal taste, it was still well created.

Thats all I have to say about this piece, good stuff SirFiNix. Keep them coming! 4/5 from me.
